I love this movie. This is easily not only the best Christmas horror movie but one of the best Christmas movies. The Gremlins are awesome. Also some of the people from my generation (and maybe older people I don't know) might remember the Furbie toys they used to have. They look exactly like Mogwai's in this movie. Just an interesting thing i noticed. This movie is great from start to finish. It has a great set up with the explaining of the rules and the intro of the main characters. I've seen this a few times now and never get tired of it. One of my favorite scenes is when the Mom goes into the kitchen and kills 3 or 4 of the Gremlins. It also feels like a christmas. The only really weird moment, the moment everyone else has mentioned, is the part where Phoebe Cates has that weird monologue about how her father died. Also the bar scene is great too. There are so many great jokes in that scene. It's a great mix of horror and comedy. It might, dare I say, be the best movie to try that. The script is very well written. Also I just love that this is on the same back lot that was used for Back to the Future the next year. It's not Hill Valley but it's just kind of funny watching this and thinking " and that's the movie theater Marty crashes into." amongst other things. What more can I really say about this film. I love it. It's great. Absolutely worth a watch.
