    The Embryo Hunts in Secret

A danced-on sprain, relic from when art wasn't afraid, copulation and cruelty were allowed to monumentally register onscreen (sensual ripple, pinku shivering up through Survey Map of a Paradise Lost), a chamber piece in excess, maximalist brutality refined by a tighter edit.

    Invasion U.S.A.

The impaired cousins of Cormac McCarthy's gnostic demons perfect sadism on each other sans exposition, in a livid frenzy, during cocaine mayhem vignettes, maniacally parting from Norris's usual romps - disproportionately, needlessly, deliciously mean (think the opening of Action Jackson, or the Nazi demon scenes in American Werewolf for the length of a movie, the counterintuitively hysterical, yet still abject (ironic only regarding placement), juxtaposition of trained troops over-killing random, grinning citizens, a slasher-minded action slaughter-fest, bazooka duel (proto Dead or Alive), death metal in the sauna. Bring this energy back, please, meant, not just as parody or reference.

Imagine a public stupid enough to receive the original Texas Chainsaw solely as an allegory against eating meat (because there is a widespread, handheld, nightmare platform of social reward brownie points drawing a treasure map with your dopamine), a populace with such piss poor regard for what they have just experienced in a theater versus what they pettily intellectualize afterward (including what the director/writer might say postpartum on his platforms) - well, here we horrifyingly are. If somebody plucks their tongue out and hands it to you for a present, the hidden message is: just take the fucking thing!
