    It's not good but it's better than Vice!

    Sporadically funny. I've missed Jennifer Lawrence quite a bit and she's good here - charismatic, angry, funny. I like when Cate Blanchett gets to have fun. Jonah Hill is largely grating but his undisguised lust for his mother, Meryl Streep's president, is amusing, as is his "the cool rich" line. There are a couple of funny recurring gags: the snack incident; The cuts to characters being black-bagged.

    (Watched the theatrical cut; it’s really weird that there are two quite dramatically different versions of the film going around and the non-theatrical is referred to as just “extended” but while it’s overall a longer film it removes a bunch of stuff from the theatrical, including whole characters? Anyway: off on a tangent before we’ve even begun.)

    Goofy, convoluted, and with a bunch of stuff like that happens if you really do go to an escape room, like people yelling…
