James Wan is a bad muthafucka.

Dude knows how to make a damn slick-ass film. He knows where the scares are and need to be. He has a great style with the camera. Some of his shots are just... fucking awesome! Great use of music as well as creating atmospheric tension.

Great filmmaking.

The movie is just scary.
Then it takes a turn... and oh man.

I did the same "OH SHIT!" that the characters did onscreen.
So much so that I realized it and then laughed at myself. Go figure. (I went into this viewing with ZERO knowledge of this film, story, plot or characters. Try to do the same for the best effect!)

A great warm-up before Hooptober starts in a couple of days.
