    The juxtaposition of what a place like Las Vegas intends to be versus how it is was something that dawned upon me often. Surely, a place like that is meant to highlight the high life, where people are supposedly happiest, yet what lies there is depravity, soullessness, and meaninglessness.

    The Whale wishes it was this movie. This is another one of those wildly depraved films with a heart of gold. It can be simultaneously harrowing and selfish as it is empathetic and warm. Great performance from Mic Cage. Overall, a very sad time indeed!

    Ergo Proxy is a flawed yet incredible journey.

    There is so much "2 steps forward, 1 step back" throughout the story. It's so inconsistent. Some of the episodes are downright brilliant and others are complete bore fests.

    This film defines what it feels like to be growing up and maturing in the 2010s. It's an overwhelmingly beautiful, emotional, and fragile story. Almost a send-off for the decade.

    Yes, there is a LOT of modern music- Frank Ocean, Tame Impala, Kanye West, Tyler the Creator, Radiohead- yet it all adds a level of style and relatability. Perhaps it's a love letter to generation z (haha cringe haha) I don't know.
