Justice League Dark: Apokolips War 2020
The road ends here.
If you discount the two-part animated video releases that have been edited together, this movie is the single-most epic (and longest) of all the DC Universe Animated Original Movies, and with its (earned) R-rated, dystopian, no-holds-bar approach, a fitting finale to the DC Animated Movie Universe. This movie pays homage to just about every film in this continuity, and I am so glad I did a rewatch leading up to this film. I may need to sit on it and watch it again, but it may be my favorite of this continuity.

Kate 2021
This. Was. Badass.
This is the third female assassin I’ve seen this year following “Gunpowder Milkshake” and “The Protege,” and “Kate” is hands-down the best of the bunch in practically and technically every way. While sharing genre tropes with both these films, they are used to stronger effect here.
