This is just Sound of Freedom with birds.
Disobedience was very, very boring.
Yes, it was paced slowly, but it’s more than that. Everything in the entire movie - from the colors to the costumes to the performances to the dialogue - just seems so muted. It’s extremely dull, and it honestly just seems unartistic. Maybe unartistic is the wrong word...more like uninspired.
This isn’t really mind kind of movie, but I was at least hoping to get something out of it. I didn’t. It’s not offensively awful, but it’s just so bland.
Dog City is an enigma.
Is it genius? Is it an abomination? I honestly have no idea, so instead of a standard review, I’ll just throw out some of the questions I asked myself while I was watching it:
•Were The Muppets always this dirty?
•How did they get away with three very clear dick jokes in a kids TV movie?
•Are these puns clever or awful?
•Is this the greatest use of fourth wall breaks in cinematic history?
