  The French Dispatch 2021

  As someone who has sat through hours and hours and hours of art history, it is immediately clear to me that this entire film is both a love letter and a complete parody of the artistic movements of the 20th century. Not just fine art, but writing, film, activism, all of it. The artist portion was my favorite, maybe one of my favorite Wes Anderson pieces. Second part was not my favorite, but the third was great. What a weird film.

  So cute. Feels like Pixar is splitting into two halves, one that’s like more lighthearted and sweet and the other that’s a bit more existential lol
