Sarah Shachat’s review published on Letterboxd:
Accurately captures the terror and disorientation of being in love - which is only slightly different from the terror and disorientation of being alive. Anderson makes you aware of both sensations so acutely you can taste the color, and the emptiness, and the pudding. The fact that Sandler's never done anything close to this before or since somehow makes Punch-Drunk Love even more controlled and inexplicable. This film is an experience in the most cinematic sense of the world. It happens to you.
