  the most devastating thing is that arab people, and especially men, are very modest when it comes to showing their emotions and refrain from doing so. seeing all these men and women and children in utter despair 21 YEARS AGO and knowing that the situation has not yet changed is heartbreaking. 

  that little girl has one of the most eloquent arabic and most intense stare i’ve ever heard and seen. i hope that she’s still alive and fighting.
