such incredibly powerful, thoughtful, and delicate filmmaking that lets the subject matter live and breathe without forging it into a spectacle or any form of trauma porn. a genuine feat from writer/director megan park, whose work i will definitely be following from now on. 

jenna ortega delivers a performance that confirms my suspicion that she’ll be delivering some huge performances over the course of the next few years. that girl is GOING places.
