Sufjan Stevens music is beautiful it's even more beautiful in combination with Call Me By Your Name. So beautiful!
I don't know, this didn't really work for me. I don't think it is bad, Ana De Armas is really great and there are some interesting shots but it is really misery porn. It is really difficult to see all those horrible things happening. At a moment I was thinking: what is the point? Yes I see her life was horrible but what are you trying to say with showing that over and over again?
Just saw it for a second time in the cinema. And it feels so special that such a epic, slow and weird blockbuster now exist. I love Star Wars and I love Marvel but this is the most epic film since Lord of the Rings. And the second time around I really appreciated Paul's transformation even more, just great acting by Chalamet.
This is world building at its best. And this is hopefully only the beginning.
