    This one hit close to home. As an immigrant from the Philippines, this film brought up so many memories of my family’s experiences in America. It accurately reflects the struggles that come with the immigrant experience and the importance of finding home in a family. Loved the score, the performances by the cast, and the humor provided by the savage David and Soon-ja. 

    It’s a simple but intimate and tender movie. It contains a universal story that many can resonate with. Minari is about resilience and displacement, but it also feels like representation and a gentle warm hug. Cried with this one but loved it a lot.
