TIFF #24

A solid ensemble drama, this will definitely be one of the most talked about films this awards season and wouldn't be surprised if this won people's choice award at TIFF this year. The performances were all pretty great all around, and Sarah Polley approaches this horrifying story with a lot of love and care. It's hard to watch at several points, but Polley and the cast bring some levity through these courageous women to remind us not all hope is abandoned and things can change for the better.
