Samuelleary’s review published on Letterboxd:
One Michael Corleone continues to be one of the most compellingly written characters ever put to screen. I had a lot to say about this throughout the runtime but now that it’s finished I’m kind of lost on a lot of those thoughts, not because it was overwhelming, I guess by the end I can just sum that up pretty basically. It’s a great crime epic. I really wish we saw more of De Niro as a young Vito, that stuff was probably my favourite part. Not to say the amount we got didn’t feel fitting, I just really like that character and I really like De Niro. I’d say it’s about on level with the first for me. I’m actually really excited to see part 3 as well, I just love seeing Michael’s character progress through the years.
