Gran Turismo has got every sports cliché in the book but it just works. The peformances are charismatic, the direction is solid and the racing sequences are extremely thrilling. It's a simple, entertaining and triumphant dad movie that is just executed really well.
Finally Neill Blomkamp gets a solid base hit. Been rooting for him since District 9.
A sharp, witty and intelligent script is strengthened by great performances and an excellent character study at the centre. It’s themes touch on so many aspects of life that we all face. I can’t imagine someone being unable to find something to relate to in Up in the Air. Clooney is superb and I love how the film doesn’t give him an easy way out.
I adored Up in the Air and it’s one of my favourite dramedies I’ve seen in recent memory.
That shot of Bruno staring at Guy amongst the tennis crowd whilst everyone else’s head swings back and forth like a mii in wii sports is FREAKIN GLORIOUS.
