Sam Hernández’s review published on Letterboxd:
What a nice surprise. I went into the teather thinking this was going to be so bad and the first minutes of the movie convinced me that maybe I was right, but it suddenly turned into something pretty entertaining and fun.
The highlights of the movie are Hathaway and Bonham Carter, who do a fantastic job in their respective roles, being Anne my favorite of them all. Bullock and Blanchett do what they have to do and do it decently. Still, I think the other half of this cast was wasted. I wouldn't really expect that much from Rihanna, but Awkwafina, Sarah Paulson and Mindy Kaling can give so much more. Then again, this movie is so much fun, I almost didn't mind James Corden.
This is no masterpiece, but it's still a solid piece of cinema. Congrats to my stellar cast.
Also, Anne Hathaway slapping the shit out of some guy? That's a turn on. MAN, I want some of that.
