Insane. Such a beautiful piece of work put to film. How can a movie that came out in 1982 accomplish so much that films today have not been able to achieve? Absolutely robbed in every department of award-winning. The lighting is angelic, mood-rendering ambiance. The set design is perfect. I don't use that word loosely, it's literally perfect. This city feels real. It felt like looking at another world, a glimpse into something that is already established and foreign to our own. The soundtrack shrouds what is happening around us in mystery and intrigue. Every single aspect here has an identity to it.
