  Zo veel hoop. Zoveel liefde. Zoveel verdriet. Zelden zag ik een film die zo troostrijk is als Ordet (1955). Door de lens van de Deense grootmeester Carl Theodor Dreyer stappen wij de wereld van de familie Borgen binnen, en zien we hoe zij zich tot elkaar verhouden.

  Personally, I consider it highly important that artworks get made reflecting on the darkest days of human history. This can help us to never forget the things that happened and shift our lives towards a more positive future.   Making a good film about love is difficult. It is arguably the most universal theme an artist can use, which is why filmmakers and other artists alike often play into the relatability of the theme. Many of these works are romanticized, corny or even emotionally empty. However, every now and then a work comes along that manages to be relatable yet emotional and realistic.
