I must have watched this countless times as a kid. For my entire life, whenever I’ve seen Hugh Laurie or Geena Davis, I’ve been like, Oh, from Stuart Little. That being said, I can’t remember watching it and I haven’t actually thought about it in years. Certain line deliveries feel like they’re embedded in my skull — particularly Mouse Jennifer Tilly (literally just playing Lily St. Regis from Annie) screaming TELL HIM THE TRUTH!!
This movie rips. Every single cat is an Italian-American mobster. Also, Jonathan Lipnicki is currently a zionist jiu jitsu expert and he’s helping the Jewish community in LA according to Instagram.
took some notes
* literally iconic to start with an overture
* less than three minutes into this movie: “uh molly? we ain’t got no mommies and daddies and we ain’t never gonna have ‘em. that’s why we’re called orphans.” incredible exposition i love this film
* why is there dirt on these girls’ faces? were they working in the mines??
* best supporting actor: laundry guy who wants to take out ms. hannigan for an ice cream sodie
