• Joker

All it takes is one bad day.

Joker is Todd Philips first attempt at making a character driven drama and he pulled it off spectacularly. This movie is about a mentally ill man who gets beat down by society and becomes the Joker.

Joker takes the best of Taxi Driver and the best of The King of Comedy and combines them with the mystery behind the Jokers origin. Joker isn’t as much a comic book movie as it is a…

  • Godzilla vs. Kong

    Godzilla vs. Kong

I don’t care about bad human characters
    I don’t care about Monarch
Just give me 60-80 minutes of Godzilla and Kong duking it out
If that’s all people wanna see then give us just that.

Godzilla vs. Kong is the fight of the year. Notice how there isn't King in the title, that's cause Godzilla said you gotta go through my ass to get that.

So the movie is about Godzilla being pissy about something, nobody knows what's antagonizing him…

  • Godzilla: King of the Monsters

    Godzilla: King of the Monsters

This one really got under my skin👿

This movie is garbage. Action schlock of the highest caliber. I went into this movie so excited too because I was hoping it'd be more of what I wanted and boy was it not. This movie is everything I didn't want the sequel to be, rushed, overcrowded, sloppy, boring and downright lazy.

Consistency isn't a thing in this universe. This is not the same universe as the 2014 Godzilla film. Everybody now acts…

  • Kong: Skull Island

    Kong: Skull Island

Big Monke no like Creedence Clearwater Revival.

So Kong: Skull Island is okay... it's a reimagining of King Kong but the movie manages to also be a reimagining of the entire monster universe or whatever they're calling it by making everything "more fun". With a brighter aesthetic, actors recognizable by the MCU and some wacky old songs to keep listeners engaged.

Acting. Acting is actually pretty good all around the board. Tom Hiddleston gets to play an action hero and…

  • Godzilla

    All Hail the King.

Godzilla is a remake of the 1954 original except it's Americanized🇺🇸 this time around. The film centers around a mystery surrounding a catastrophe in Japan 15 years ago that leads to the unveiling of giant Kaiju who lead a rampage across the world.

This movie is actually really really great and it seems the only arguments I hear have to do with the fact we don't see Godzilla enough, which is subjective and the acting isn't…

  • King Kong vs. Godzilla

    King Kong vs. Godzilla

Godzilla blasts Kong with atomic breath*
    Godzilla: Did it hurt?!
    Kong: My feelings I guess..

Somehow newer yet more dated than the respective original films this movie is an entirely different beast. I had the pleasure of watching the English dub and oh my God......

If it isn't being racist it's being boring and if neither of those are happening we're watching guys in suits beat the ever living shit out of each other on a miniature set.

The story is in shambles, entertainment value is inconsistent but boy when they're fighting it's hard not to be entertained completely.

  • King Kong

    King Kong

Fay Wray is the real eighth wonder of the world😍😍😍

King Kong is the movie. This is arguable the first kaiju (giant monster) movie. And it’s American mf 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸. After being captured King Kong wreaks havoc in New York City looking for the woman he loves.

Acting is hard to judge by these older movies. They hardly emote enough for me to be invested but at the same time they're not terrible and I'm not not invested in the roles.…

  • Godzilla

    Lights a fat ass blunt*
This mf must have some nasty ass atomic farts

Godzilla is a movie about a monster who rises from the depths of the ocean and wreaks havoc on Japan. The film stands as a metaphor for the horror and PTSD suffered immediately after WWll and the atomic bombings of Japan.

Effects are extremely dated as to be expected. Edits are choppy and the miniatures are hardly convincing however the story is pretty strong centered around…

  • Wonder Woman 1984

    Wonder Woman 1984

Plot had moments of greatness, especially regarding Maxwell Lord but ya get what ya get.

  • Shazam!

If there’s one thing I took from this movie, it’s embrace your inner man child.

So yeah Shazam! isn't that bad. It's a much much smaller story than we're use to but it's also a pretty good example of how DC should apply Marvels formula. The movie is essentially about a boy who gets the powers to turn into a superhero by saying the words "Shazam!".

Starting off I have to make a formal apology to Suicide Squad for not…

  • Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

I just want someone to look at me the way Harley looks at that Ham, Egg and Cheese

Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn is alright. It’s actually not as bad as you may imagine. It’s bogged down by modern gender politics and it falls into the trap of making their male antagonists dumb or pathetic to better service the females when that’s not respect all around the board? Anyways on with the review.

  • Aquaman

Aquaman is garbage. It’s low quality, mindless shlock with as little intelligence or integrity as it could muster. It centers around Arthur played by Jason Momoa who goes in search of a legendary weapon to take his rightful place on the thrown. Sound familiar?

The obvious comparisons to the tale of the sword in the stone is blatantly obvious. This movie tries to be like 5 different movies at once, it once to be an origin story then an adventure…
