As a 17 year old living in Hamilton, Victoria in 1943 my grandmother kept a diary, and one of the things she listed was all the movies she went and saw, mostly at the town's cinema, the Regent in Brown St., but some in Melbourne also. This was 13 years before the introduction of television in Australia and provides a fascinating record of what a teenage girl was going to see week to week. Funny to think that she was logging and rating movies back in the 1940s as that is one of my hobbies, but she had to use pen and ink because there was no Letterboxd.
Nanna's, let's call them "capsule reviews" added in notes.
