I've seen Zodiac several times. I was surprised to realize all the most memorable (and terrifying) scenes are in the first 30 minutes. We're first introduced to victims of violence and murder, but the remainder of the film focuses on victims of obsession. Fincher's direction is sleek and efficient. There's also a lot of likeable characters.
