"Find me if you love me."

The film opens with a monologue that'll instantly win you over. Suzhou River is surprisingly mellow despite the gritty atmosphere it presents us with. It's a film that excels in using the dingy riverside architecture as the backdrop for an urban fairytale where characters are yearning for a love that slips through their fingers the moment they catch a glimpse of it. Almost encapsulates the feeling of drifting through a dream with a dull ache in your heart. Utterly mesmerizing!

The amount of joy this brings me is immeasurable. I got into f(x) right after their last comeback so I never had the privilege to witness more group activities and this is what got me through the drought. Even after all these years this is still a very comforting watch. The performances, the energy of the crowd, their interactions everything about this gives me an instant serotonin boost. I miss them all so much, especially my Peach Princess Sulli.

" you try and you try, always hoping that this time would be different but it never is, you know? "

in a refuge for tired souls, an unlikely bond forms between two. they bask in the pink glow as an uncertainty hangs between them. the camera gives them space, observing them from a distance as they get acquainted. soon the death wish is served and the goodnight bears the weight of the world. morning brings no hope, just a reminder that kindness can sometimes fail too.
