There’s an entire sequence in which a giant caterpillar tries to convince a giant lizard and a giant pterodactyl that they should all team up to fight a giant three headed space dragon, whilst some tiny fairies translate their conversation for the humans. I am convinced that this is why cinema was invented.
Everybody blames Jaws for how the public’s negative view of sharks was shaped, but I’d argue that Sharknado did a lot more damage to their reputation. I didn’t want to harm any sharks after seeing Jaws, but after seeing this: if a CGI shark flies at me from a tornado you best believe I’m whipping out a chainsaw.
Definitely a very important topic, and it’s told in an informative enough way. I really wasn’t a fan of how the director integrated himself into the film though. It really didn’t help in getting the message across of the crucial subject matter, and it just came across as a bit self-indulgent and kind of amateur.
