The Hangover 2009
It's always tough rating this one, because every time I see it I notice more issues I could point out. I am ALL IN for dark or straight-up brutal humor, but some of it just feels mean-spirited for no reason. Also, some of the filmmaking can feel a tad sloppy in regards to coverage or other minor aspects, and so sometimes it distracts me from fully loving it. The Banshees of Inisherin 2022
A film so poignant, relatable and meditative…I wish I had done it! Some of the best performances of the year, a terrific story and beautifully shot landscapes. Not a single moment feels wasted, but also there remains time to process what is occurring and why. It asks the questions what are we doing with our lives, and can we get past such trivial issues? Excellent film, cannot praise this enough.
