    There is a lot to love about Lamb. The cinematography is beautiful, the Icelandic scenery certainly helps. The mood is cold and eerie. The visual effects are incredibly striking. The performances are solid. The bizarre nature of the plot is captivating. These things are all great but I didn’t love the movie.

    The Guest is what happens when you fuse together Halloween 3, The Terminator, and a pinch of Drive. It’s fucking awesome!

    This is a bad-ass genre hybrid that is endlessly satisfying, as long as you sync with its frequency, and I am more than happy to say that I do!

    Malignant is a ton of fun and so much better than the trailers made it look. This is James Wan’s love letter to giallo and slasher films. The marketing didn’t convey that the film is a campy ride. It’s silly in a very intentional way. The opening sequence does a spectacular job at setting the tone with over the top acting, kinetic camera work, and the setting of a spooky hospital on a hill.
