  Saw this a long time ago, probably around when it came out, and I remember thinking it was very slow. 

  It is. 

  Also, any time DeNiro and Pesci are on screen together, the whole thing lights up. Amazing work between those two. 

  Some great moments throughout, but overall could have been tighter. 

  And why doesn’t Sharon Stone’s character get a VO!?

  Spent a fair amount of the film with my jaw on the floor. 

  Robert Eggers is a madman and I am here for it. This movie howls off the screen, the world is realized with incredibly brutal intensity. 

  The performances are excellent. In particular, Nicole Kidman has a scene that may be the best work she’s done in like 20 years.
