Men often believe the version of events they are more comfortable with than the version which is more likely to be true.

Rashomon reminds me of my experience on Jury duty. Each version of events you are presented with you believe more than the last and towards the end your grasp of truth and falsehood is warped.

Certain little touches the Coens bring to this is what makes it the masterpiece it is. The frantic heel marks from the deputy on the floor as he desperately struggles for his life as he is brutally garrotted. The reflection in the TV screen as the cat and mouse game begins in earnest, first Llewelyn, then Chigurh and finally Ed Tom. Or how Chigurh coldly moves his feet out of the way to avoid the pool of blood slowly moving toward him after his most recent dispatching of another poor soul to cross his path

Cool poster and can see a lot of the foundations in terms of the quick cuts and camera movements that Rami would go on to use in the his Spider-Man films. Really likes the carnival scene and was nice to see the Bruce Campbell cameo at the end.

My new favourite western for sure and probably the coolest film ever made!

    The score is just phenomenal.
