Rory McArthur’s review published on Letterboxd:
The worst thing a spy film can be is confusing. It doesn’t matter how many twists and turns you have, how many double agents and betrayals there are, if it’s too hard to follow them it comes across as incoherent, not clever. This is more than a little guilty of that. It’s all terse conversation and moody colours, seemingly all to try and fool you into believing that there’s something high-brow going on. There isn’t. There’s a fairly simply plot, which I now understand thanks to Wikipedia, given a superficially complex and unnecessarily joyless makeover. Not for me.
