Barbie is the perfect example of what a movie can be if passionate people are involved in all aspects of production. Barbie is undoubtedly one of the most fun experiences I've had at the movies in quite some time and even though I knew going into this that I was going to enjoy it, I am still honestly surprised by how much I actually enjoyed this film. The story is incredibly well written with a lot of genuinely funny scenes…

Christopher Nolan has obviously made quite a few culturally impactful films over the years and Oppenheimer might just be his biggest one to date. It's hard to find many films where every minute feels like it matters, but I think this film is one of the few exceptions and with a 3 hour runtime it makes it that much more impressive. There's honestly a lot to unpack with this film but I think the biggest highlights would have to be…

I honestly have no idea how a movie like this can be filmed, go through the editing process, go through test screenings, and studio execs still gave this the okay to be released. Like honestly, what was this film going for? There's not a coherent story anywhere to be found, there's next to no action scenes, the characters are lifeless, the CGI is terrible, the dialogue is clunky, the villain is very forgettable, the list can go on and on.…

I'm writing this review a few days after seeing this in theaters and I'm still having a hard time wrapping my brain around how this movie is as bad as it was. You've got the "twisted mind" of Matthew Vaughn as the director, who has directed some really fun films such as Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class, and the Kingsman, and a cast that includes the likes of: Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O'Hara, Samuel L. Jackson, Bryce Dallas…

Arguably the best Godzilla movie since the original? I'm honestly blown away by how much I enjoyed Godzilla Minus One. This films strength is in its refocus on the human aspect of the story which at times was a little slow, but highly effective in the buildup to the big confrontation with Godzilla and the biggest surprise was how emotional the story was. I loved the design of Godzilla and this was by far the coolest use of his heat ray in my opinion. This will definitely make fans of Godzilla happy and is easily one of the surprise films of the year.
