Intolerable Cruelty

Intolerable Cruelty ★★★½

''You want tact, call a tactician. You want an ass nailed, you come see Gus Petch.''

A lesser Coen Bros. outing is still a good Coen Bros. outing. Intolerable Cruelty will never be a favourite, it is a film that draws me back with its sharp writing and characters.

It's a shame that it never seems to transcend genre like the majority of their work and feels like an attempt to draw in the mainstream crowd (Brian Grazer as Producer?).

Enjoyable moments throughout, but nothing to really chew on after the credits roll.
