That was really good. I’ve been getting around to some of the earlier films that were added to my watchlist and this is one of them.
I’ve heard people say this film is overrated, but I wouldn’t agree. I think it’s fairly rated amongst most.
I’ve also heard people say that the third act really kills the pacing and brings down the film for them. But again, I wouldn’t agree at all, I actually think the last third of the film is probably the best part.
Such a stellar cast with great performances and Jake Gyllenhaal is just so good. That basement scene in particular had me on the edge of my seat.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the score though to be honest as I didn’t really think it fit the atmosphere.
Overall, I think Zodiac is definitely in Finchers top 2-3 from what I’ve seen so far. Just a really great true story crime film.
