Insultingly bad. It has the distinct tone of an A24 movie, including zany characters who seem to suffer from catatonia or clinical depression.
It skates away from talking about important notions when it comes to housing, from the philosophical ("what does it mean to own something?") to the political (gentrification, the working poor).

When McCabe is asked if he is Pudgy the gunfighter and he answers "Businessman, businessman" the retort should be: "Well, what is the difference?".
A trope of the Western genre is that the gun is never far from the money bag, and "McCabe and Mrs Miller" shows that they are one and the same. Capital is inherently violent, above the law, destroying human relationships through commodification or decimation.
