    Ace Ventura: Pet Detective

    ★★★★

People say this movie has aged poorly which is ironic considering the name of the dolphin in this movie 👿. Come on people it was funny then, its still funny now. Admittedly I have a ton of nostalgia for pretty much all of Jim Carreys 90s movies so I may be a bit biased but come on comedy is comedy. Einhorn and Finkle! Finkle and Einhorn! Jim Carrey was at his comedic insanity peak here.

  • Pearl

    Pearl

    ★★★★

Although I enjoyed Pearl more than X, mostly due to Mia Goths amazing performance; especially when she monologues all the things shes done, I still feel let down due to the hype I had heard for both movies and as things were picking up I feel Pearl should have been longer showing more of Howards involvement leading into what we see in X. Pearl less of a let down than X though as after seing X I shifted my expectations…

    Scream VI

    ★★★★½

Well ding f**king ding, six movies in and SCREAM manages to pull another great one out and now SCREAM 6 is my favourite of the sequels (can't top the og, or can they? If they follow a certain plot point from 5 and now 6 through they could have a contender).

From the very beginning this is a very different SCREAM movie from the first kill on I was so excited to see where this was going, and aside from…

Still a great sequel, even if it does get a tad redundant with how meta it is and the ending taking place at the same location.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

    ★★★★

"You tell em Nick Cage smooches good."
Unbearable Weight is the feel good action comedy I needed tonight and it is Nick Cage at his Cageiest. Its genuinely funny which is a hard feat these days with everyone being offended by everything but this movie pulls it off with the budding bromance between Nick and Pascals characters who have excellent chemistry with each other. Then it even turns into a fun action thriller in the last act. Overall a ton of fun.

Big Trouble In Little China is just pure fun from start to finish and just like ole Jack Burton says this movie is a classic.

  • Chris Rock: Selective Outrage

    Chris Rock: Selective Outrage

    ★★

Stiff and uninspired, this is a far cry from Chris Rocks 5 star performances from over a decade ago. And I mean stiff, Chirs comes off as some old dude shouting about stuff everybody has already spoken about, and spoken about it alot better at that as Chris brings nothing new to the conversation and tries to go for shock value that just comes off as cringe. I got a chuckle or two but no legit LOL moments like I get with his classic stand up shows. Its a shame to see one of my favourite comedians scrape the bottom of the barrell.

  • Creed III

    Creed III

    ★★★★

Although the performances were great, especially how adoreable Adonis' relationship with his daughter is and Jonathan Majors little ticks as Dame making a great villain, CREED 3 is, in my opinion, the weakest of the CREED Trilogy. Its a great debut for a first time director as I feel Michael B Jordon did nothing wrong I just personally didn't feel as invested in this personal story at this point in the franchise, like I said in my review for CREED…

    Creed

    ★★★★½

Packing a knockout punch Creed manages to stand on its own as opposed to feeling like a forced spin-off which is a hard thing to do, especially with a franchise legacy as epic as Rocky. Michael B Jordan is great as Adonis and he plays well off of Stallone which understandably won Sly a Golden Globe for his return to the role. Tessa Thompson is great too, whom MBJ also has great chemistry with. Along with the great camerwork much…

    Scream 4

    ★★★★

You know its weird how you don't notice something on previous watches until people point it out to you, but they love the god damn lense flare in this movie or whatever it is they did to make light bounce off the screen the way it does. It doesn't detract from the movie for me though its more of a nitpick as this still stands as the best of the Scream sequels for me. In my opinion it has the…

Still have the same issues I've always had with this but there was a couple things I noticed that I didn't pick up on before so thays cool to be able to do that with a movie you've seen a dozen times.
