For such a long film, you never feel the run time at all. Two and a half hours zips by thanks to the great performances, Fincher’s direction and a great script. The film barely lets up as it constantly feeds you information about the investigation. Aside from Jake Gyllenhall’s Robert Graysmith, we get very little insight into the personal lives of these people but we do see how this kind of obsessive behaviour affects you and everyone around you.
