First Reformed plays as an excruciating crisis of a man's faith.. albeit, it goes beyond its surface. soul-cleansing, a meditative act on the human spirit. the pastor guides and sacrifices himself upon our sake, to reflect and comprehend his torments, in hopes of saving ourselves. I believe the end to be most revolting yet fascinately interesting, it is not to be taken literal but rather symbolic, poetic and life-affirming. this is a masterwork in each and every aspect, a film fascinating to watch unfold.

Moonlight is a moving portrayal of sexuality struggles, self-discovery, masculinity, family .. full of tension in such a deep mode.
outstanding performances, especially Mahershala Ali as Juan, a masterwork by Barry Jenkins, It has been shot beautifully and artistically. definitely one of the best films of 2016.
