A film about finding joy & solidarity through pain and trauma & how your parents are all sad fuck ups who’ll inflict trauma you’ll never be able to understand yourself, but finding catharsis in that. So astronomically better than everything else in this series that I really don’t think this franchise ever deserved James Gunn. As someone who loves their family to death but has an often frustrating and complicated relationship, the final moments of this reduce me to a blubbering mess every time, love is power <3
