"didn't your mother tell you it was always impolite to stare?"
an amusing low-stakes one. also packed with jarring, gross, wide-eyed stares. there's a great image of a vandalised face on a poster that initially flashes on screen like a digital graphic (reminds me of the error faces in the game boy camera). clamps down on the paranoia of psychedelia by making even the comedy feel nightmarish.
love that brief evocation of the disco movement in this film, also!
