rosamund pike (2021): “ding dong”
we all (rightfully) are talking about rosamund pike’s girl boss bob but can we talk about peter dinklage putting in one of the funniest performances of the year so far??
pike and messina’s first meeting in the office, smiling the biggest smiles as the stare knives at each other, is just delightful. the performances, the camerawork, the pacing is all just a masterclass.
i would also like to talk about the score because any marc that spells their name with a c should not be able to put together a score that fucks this hard
personally, i love a movie that doesn’t really have anything serious or deep to say lol just a film with an overdramatic vibe that occasionally buckles under its own weight (again, shave 20 minutes off this bad boy and we’re rolling!!!). why does this have narration? why does it choose the ending it does? why is rosamund in that short wig breaking into the parking garage an exact lookalike for lena headey????
