A little pleasant surprise that I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. The musical scenes in particular were actually very impressive on a technical level and it had an enjoyable upbeat tone. It kind of lost in the last hour but I was rarely bored in the long run. I thought it was decent.

My disappointment in this was immeasurable. 

Super SUPER well shot Film. It’s definitely what Rick Alverson is best at. But making Jeff Goldblum give a boring performance is already a crime in of itself. 
The whole movie just felt like it was ducking around with no real hook or idea. The soundtrack starts of fine but once it starts doing the same thing over and over again it’s gets annoying and repetitive. It’s basically a dumb road trip movie you’d find at Hallmark if it was sprinkled with pretentiousness and brushstrokes with absolutely incredible cinematography.

I knew immediately after it ended that it was fantastic. I’m fucking tired right now and I’m gonna go to sleep but all I’ll say is this. 
This movie manipulates with time in a way that Tenet WISHES it could be on its level. You’ve done it again Charlie Kaufman!
