This awards season latecomer is worthy of EVERY damn award and it really sucks that it probably wonβt go very far. Daniel Kaluuya and Lakeith Stanfield are strikingly powerful. But Iβd say that Dominique Fishback is just as powerful here as well and would love some recognition for her as well.
The movie as a whole is a solid piece of art. Shaka Kingβs direction is impressive given this is one of his first ventures into directing. Its production value is ππΌ Itβs score is jarring. And itβs cinematography is breathtaking.
Definitely check this one out if you have HBOMax or in a theater near you! I hope to watch at my local AMC!
