    Schrader riffs on Bresson again but this time he also remakes most of his own films for good measure. Final shot is just perfect, Oscar Isaac is shockingly great and Paul Schrader never seems to fail. Also featuring the wildest wide lens I have ever seen in any studio film. Astoundingly grim and murky, the perfect movie for America in 2021.
