I liked this film a lot more on second viewing. I don’t think it needs the action. The concepts the Analyst discusses about people are so much more interesting: “Here’s the thing about feelings […] they’re so much easier to control than facts … You don’t give a shit about facts. It’s all about fiction. The only world that matters is the one that’s in here [points to Neo’s head.] And you people believe the craziest shit. Why? What validates and makes your fictions real? Feelings.” On point.
Other thoughts: Smith is totally unnecessary. But true love wins. That is nice.
