Kieran’s review published on Letterboxd:
Roma is a masterful piece of work from Alfonso Cuarón, Both beautiful visually and artistically.
This is a story deliberate in it’s pacing and what Alfonso has chosen us to show - a story about the love we learn to accept and acknowledge, a story about a maid and a family who eventually have nobody else left to give love to other than each other. All the stunning visuals make the storyline deceptively simple but underneath it is so many layers of heart and meaning.
We are given the artwork that Alfonso has painted, every stoke lined with deliberation, authenticity and passion.
