Thankfully there was a movie that dared not to take time travel seriously. There was no concern with altering history through interactions with the protagonists. The film didn't worry the audience about the protagonists meeting either their past or future selves. Also, there was no deep insight into what the future would become. You only watch this film as a fan of either George Carlin or Keanu Reeves. Otherwise, you are a fan of the late eighties early nineties, especially the era's music. I can't think of what other reason a person would want to watch this.
Watching the movie made me wonder if this was the inspiration for the Wayne's World sketch on SNL. Also, I wish I could get that type of production value when presenting a report when I was in high school.
I am trying to remember why I loved this movie when I was a kid. I guess I am a Keanu fan, so that's at least something that appeals to me.
