“In case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening and goodnight.”

When I was a senior in high school, I was one of the morning announcement guys (I know, I know). Every morning my sign off was that quote, in the hopes that when anyone from my school watched this movie, they would hear that quote and go
“🙄 *scoff* the morning announcement guy.”

If that has happened even once, it was a success.

Wow I related to this so much! Especially the scene where Rami Malek and Denzel are in a car talking about how bored they are while waiting for something to happen...

    “Nicholas, cage them!”

For absolutely no reason at all, this movie is incredible. Genuinely one of the better movies Dreamworks Animation has come out with. I’m actually shocked I was expecting this to be stupid, which it is, but it works? I don’t know, but it’s hilarious and I love it.

    “Bread makes you fat?!”

Alright, I get it now. I really wasn’t a big fan of this the first time I watched it, but the theater experience definitely cranked it up a notch. I still think it’s a tad over hyped, but there’s no denying how fun and energetic it is which gives it an insane amount of rewatch value as well.

    “Deregulate Tapioca.”

We just can’t let Furbies go can we? Always finding a way to haunt me.

I didn’t have any expectations going into this, so it really took me by surprise. Sony Pictures Animation just suddenly decided to start releasing bangers and I’m all for it.
