Overly long and one of the most pretentious things I’ve ever seen. I think some of the more “poetic” qualities of the dialogue may have been lost in translation, but even understanding German wouldn’t have made this any better. This was honestly just disgusting, and it took me two days to get through.

An excellent looking movie with some really strange performances that somehow work in the context of the rest of the film. This is just a pretty basic retelling of the classic Dracula story, but it’s the visuals that make this one stand out. Beautifully haunting looking film.

David Cronenberg is gonna be coming out with a new film in a few weeks, so I’m starting to play a bit of catch-up on the ones I haven’t seen. This is one I’ve been meaning to watch, but never got around to. I don’t really have much to say about this, but I did really enjoy it. It’s a small movie, and I didn’t really expect that from Cronenberg, based on the other stuff I’ve seen from him. There’s no big concept here, it’s just a guy and his dealings with the mob. Great movie, check it out.

A single day in the lives of three, troubled French youths the day after a big riot in Paris. I honestly don’t know what to say about this, it’s just a masterpiece in every way. It perfectly encapsulates the divide between the police and the citizens in France during this time. Haunting film, you never know what’ll happen next.
