Raúl Dudas-Lyne’s review published on Letterboxd:
Shane Black. You either love him or you hate him. I'm not sure whether there is a more marmite mainstream filmmaker working today. I happen to love him, and I think this film is just terrific. It's the Shane Black formula at its best: witty banter between two guys around Christmas, with some cool plot twists. There are some really memorable one-liners here shared out between a wonderful central trio, although the standout is obviously a fresh-out-of-prison Robert Downey Jr.. It'll get better on rewatches but it's started off tremendously strongly.
