The animation completely flabbergasted me, the humor was at its peak for the franchise and the characters were as heartfelt and sincere as ever. The definition of a feel good film.
Steven Yeun gives one of the most memorable, naturally frightening, and alluringly charismatic performances maybe ever? It's spectacular how real he feels.
The whole movie feels like a dark puzzle box that winds ever inwards, never quite fully revealing itself. It's a riveting, chilly experience.
The closest I can come to hating a movie. It's the epitome of laziness in storytelling and incompetence in filmmaking, and to top it off it was genuinely deceitful in its marketing and release.
I do not like this movie, even the fairly mediocre Cloverfield universe is too good for it.
